Slovakia HICP Inflation Increases For Second Month

Slovakia’s harmonized customer rate inflation accelerated even more in August, though partially, information from the Statistical Workplace of the Slovak Republic showed Monday.

The harmonized index of customer prices climbed up 1.6 percent year-on-year in August, simply above the 1.5 percent boost in July. The procedure has been rising because December last year.

Costs of food and non-alcoholic beverages grew 4.4 percent annually in August and transport expenses increased by 3.4 percent. At the same time, energy costs dropped 2.0 percent.

On a month-to-month basis, the HICP remained flat for the second straight month in August.
