Consumer prices in Australia were up 0.4 percent on quarter in the second 3 months of 2018, the Australian Bureau of Statistics stated on Wednesday.
That was shy of expectations for an increase of 0.5 percent but the same from the Q1 reading.
On an annual basis, inflation increased 2.1 percent – underneath expectations for 2.2 percent and up from 1.9 percent in the 3 months prior.
The cut mean was up 0.5 percent on quarter and 1.9 percent on year – both as anticipated and unchanged from the previous 3 months.
The weighted median was up 0.5 percent on quarter, unchanged and as anticipated. It was likewise up 1.9 percent on year, matching forecasts and down from 2.1 percent in Q1.
