Romania Producer Cost Inflation Somewhat Slows

Romania’s commercial producer cost inflation slowed a little in August, preliminary figures from the National Institute of Statistics revealed Tuesday.

Industrial manufacturer costs rose 5.9 percent year-on-year, after a 6 percent climb in July. In June, rates increased 6.1 percent.

Manufacturer rates for the domestic market rose 5.9 percent following a 5.6 percent boost in the previous month. Export market value grew 5.7 percent after a 6.5 increase in July.

Compared to the previous month, manufacturer prices rose 0.64 percent in August.
