Japan Manufacturer Costs Add 0.3% In September

Producer rates in Japan were up 0.3 percent on month in September, the Bank of Japan stated on Thursday – following the flat reading in August.

On an annual basis, manufacturer rates were up 3.0 percent – unchanged from the previous two months.

Exports prices were up 0.6 percent on month and 2.2 percent on year, the bank said, while import prices added 0.7 percent on month and 10.9 percent on year.

Rates were up for petroleum, energies and metal producers, while they were down for farming, forestry and fishing products.
